WordPress + WooCommerce Theme for Floral Designers

The NYC-based Putnam & Putnam designs striking floral arrangements and installations that are beyond compare. They’ve done work for high profile clients such as Vogue, Dior, Samsung, and The Smithsonian. For this project I worked with Hurst Creative, to make their image-focused design a reality, with a functioning e-commerce side.

WordPress is used as a content management system, and WooCommerce for the checkout and cart. The shop page was very unconventional, using a minimal full page slider and no product detail page. The ability to take card requests and to set a delivery date was very tricky to set up,  as the Product Add-ons extension only shows inputs on the product detail. This required some challenging custom programming.

The same full-page image slider layout is also used for their various image galleries that showcase their work. Gallery images can easily be added by the client using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin. The blog layout uses Masonry, and infinite scroll to load more posts as you scroll down.
